About Swapna Shrivastava
Swapna Shrivastava is a dedicated Councillor for the RASC-Mississauga Centre and an active member of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) since 2018. Her journey with astronomy began at an early age, inspired by her father, a Space Scientist, and a memorable trip to an observatory during Halley’s Comet’s 1980s visit.
Beyond her passion for astronomy, Swapna is a trailblazer in the field of Artificial Intelligence. As the founder of LeanAstro, she combines her expertise in AI, process efficiency, and her love for space to deliver education and advisory services. With over 20 years of experience in digital transformation and process re-engineering, Swapna holds a Master of Engineering from McGill University and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business. She is certified in Generative AI and AI for Business from top institutions, including Cornell University and Wharton Online.
Outside her professional accomplishments, Swapna is a proud mother and an avid advocate for astronomy outreach and education.
