Cambridge “Science Literacy Week” Library Outreach

Muhammad Basil Ahmad and Troy McCoy made a trip up to the Main Cambridge Public Library on Sept. 20, in recognition of Science Literacy Week.

There were approximately 20 people in attendance ranging in age from young, budding astronomers to inquisitive seniors.

Muhammad gave a talk called Astronomy 101 which lasted about an hour and 20 minutes and covered a multitude of topics.

The presentation was very well received and there were many questions asked.

Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate and they were unable to set up their telescopes to view the moon and planets.

Regardless, they both felt it was a success and a very rewarding and fun experience.
