The Telus Spark Science Centre in Calgary and RASC are conducting an online interactive presentation aimed at classes and individuals in the Grade 6 to 9 range.
Direct From the Milky Way, is a live interactive program that takes students on a galactic journey through neighbouring galaxies, black holes, clusters and the Solar System. Experts from the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) teach students the fundamentals of sky science and astronomy, and what it is like to be an astronomer for a day!
What to expect:
- A live virtual session with the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC), along with other classes and individuals.
- A one-hour interactive program with an expert from RASC, along with a special Q&A to ask all of those big space questions.
- Explore the technology that is used to see and observe the night sky.
- Dive into the Solar System, black holes, constellations and nebulae.
