Please join us for our monthly meeting on March 5 at 8pm to hear Dale Armstrong discuss RASC Observing certificates. This meeting is open to the general public, and new members are always welcome!

“RASC Observing Certificates – how far will you go?”

Be sure to set aside time to join us on Thursday March 5, 2020 at the Royal Canadian Legion in Waterdown ON to hear Mr. Dale Armstrong speak on the topic  “RASC Observing Certificates – How far will you go?
Dale is a member of the London Centre RASC.

Dale’s Bio:

Dale has been an RASC member since 1975.  Lately he has been involved with a few projects at Western, helping create a graduate course in space policy, and also helping construct the Colbri Fast-Photometry Array – a new observatory designed for exoplanet searches.

His main interests are deep sky observing, and planets (sketching and imaging).  He has one more object to go to complete the Deep Sky Challenge.

He is on the RASC National Observing Committee and, for his talk,  will do an overview of the RASC’s certificate programmes, and will also show slides from his (current) trip to Arizona.
