The Hamilton chapter of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) serves both Hamilton and Halton regions. Whether you are a beginner to astronomy or a seasoned veteran, we would love to hear from you. We welcome interested people, including members of the general public, to come to one of our monthly meetings to see if you like what the club has to offer! Meetings are held from September through May and are announced in advance on our website and our Facebook page.
Hamilton RASC is also one of the few astronomy clubs in Canada, and the only one in the Hamilton and Halton Region that have their own observatory. For more information about the club and the benefits of membership, please email us.
Our club is very active in the community as well, and offer a variety of outreach programs. If you are a school or a group in the Hamilton or Halton region, please feel free to contact us. We would be happy to arrange for an event either at your location or at our observatory.
Our club is also available to the press to help answer questions, provide background for a story and even be available for interviews. Please do not hesitate to contact us for assistance.
